Delicious vegan chocolate cinnamon rolls filled with a rich cocoa mixture and topped with cream cheese frosting.

- 2 1/8 cups (270 g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 packet (4 g) activated yeast
- 1/4 cup (45 g) granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup (25 g) Dutch-process cocoa powder
- 2/3 cup (135 mL) dairy-free milk
- 1/4 cup (57 g) salted vegan butter
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/8 cup (43 g) dairy-free yogurt
- 1/4 cup (67 g) vegan butter
- 1/2 cup (100 g) light brown sugar
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/3 cup vegan chocolate chips
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder (for rolling)
- 1/2 batch vegan cream cheese
- 1 cup (120 g) powdered sugar
- 1/3 cup (80 g) vegan chocolate
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
Instructions
- Prepare your ingredients and preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, yeast, sugar, and salt.
- Add dairy-free milk, yogurt, melted vegan butter, and vanilla extract; mix until smooth.
- Allow the dough to rise in a warm area until doubled in size (20-30 minutes).
- Prepare the filling by mixing vegan butter, brown sugar, cocoa powder, and cinnamon.
- Roll out the dough, spread the filling evenly, sprinkle with chocolate chips, and roll tightly.
- Let the rolls rise again before baking for about 30 minutes or until golden.
- Frost with a mixture of vegan cream cheese and melted chocolate before serving.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- For best results, use fresh activated yeast.
