Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup whole milk (warmed)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup crushed Oreo cookies
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1–2 tbsp milk (to adjust consistency)
Instructions
- Warm the milk and activate yeast by mixing it with sugar in a large bowl for about 5 minutes.
- Add flour and salt; knead until smooth. Cover and let rise in a warm place for about an hour.
- Mix crushed Oreos, cinnamon, and brown sugar in another bowl.
- Roll out risen dough into a rectangle and spread the filling evenly over it.
- Roll into a log shape and cut into 12 equal pieces.
- Place in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for another 15-20 minutes while preheating the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake for about 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
- For the frosting, beat cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and enough milk to reach desired consistency.
- Drizzle frosting over warm rolls before serving.
Notes
- Ensure the milk is warm, not hot, to avoid killing the yeast.
- For best results, allow the rolls to cool slightly before adding frosting.
