Description
A delicious espresso drink sweetened with homemade brown sugar syrup and topped with frothed milk.
Ingredients

- 2 shots espresso
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar, water, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Bring to a simmer and stir until sugar dissolves completely. Remove from heat and let sit.
- Brew your espresso using your preferred method.
- In a heatproof jar or shaker, combine the hot espresso with 2–3 tablespoons of brown sugar syrup. Shake or stir well.
- Heat milk on the stovetop or with a steam wand until hot but not boiling. Froth if desired.
- Pour espresso mixture into a mug and top with warm milk. Sprinkle extra cinnamon on top if desired. Enjoy immediately.
Notes
- Feel free to adjust the sweetness by adding more or less syrup.
- This recipe can be made with any type of milk, including non-dairy alternatives.
