Description

Delicious homemade cinnamon rolls topped with a creamy frosting.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 100 g butter
  • 500 ml milk
  • 100 g white sugar
  • 7 g active dry yeast
  • 640 g all-purpose flour
  • 60 g dark cocoa powder
  • 150 g brown sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 120 g cream cheese
  • Powdered sugar and milk (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Melt butter and mix it with warm milk. Combine with sugar and yeast; knead until smooth.
  2. Allow the dough to rise in a greased bowl until doubled in size.
  3. Roll out the dough, spread butter curls, and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon mixture.
  4. Roll tightly into a log and slice into equal pieces.
  5. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  6. For frosting, whisk together cream cheese, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, and milk.

Notes

  • Make sure the milk is warm but not hot to activate the yeast.
  • Let the dough rise in a warm place for best results.
